The Destination Brisbane Consortium (Echo Entertainment Group, Far East Consortium (Australia) and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises) has been announced as the Queensland Government’s preferred proponent for the multi-billion dollar Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Integrated Resort Development in the heart of the Brisbane CBD.
The Queensland Government in partnership with the Destination Brisbane Consortium will deliver a world-class tourism, leisure and entertainment precinct that provides economic growth for Queensland with the creation of around 8,000 new jobs.

From 12-13 June 2015, the department’s Regional Queensland Showcase highlighted investment opportunities, jobs, housing and lifestyle benefits available to those considering a move to regional Queensland. The Commonwealth Games Village is the catalyst project for one of the largest urban renewal projects ever undertaken on the Gold Coast. The Queensland Government has selected private developer Grocon to redevelop 7 hectares of the 29 hectare Parklands site as a mixed community which will provide accommodation and services to 6500 athletes and officials for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth GamesTM.
