2021-24 South East Queensland Community Stimulus Program

The grant program provides $100 million, delivered through $74 million in allocation funding and $26 million in competitive funding.

The aim of the grant program is to create and sustain jobs across SEQ by providing funds that enables SEQ councils to fast-track investment in new infrastructure and community assets, including investment that:

  • stimulates employment now and has lasting benefits for community assets and economic development; and
  • provides for economic investment in outer-urban areas or low socio-economic areas.

All successful 2021–24 SEQCSP projects under both components have been endorsed, and allocations have been approved. Endorsed projects were due for completion by 30 June 2024 and remaining projects are subject to individual extensions of time approvals.

Applications are closed and the program is underway.

Councils must comply with all reporting, record keeping and audit obligations in the Project Funding Agreement, which includes the provision of quarterly progress reports.
